A cyclist was injured in a vehicle-bicycle crash on Hartnell Avenue in Redding on Wednesday afternoon, October 2, 2024.
According to the Redding Police Department, the incident occurred around 3:49 p.m. when the driver of a Nissan Altima was preparing to turn west after exiting an apartment complex located at 1951 Hartnell Avenue.
At the same time, a cyclist was riding eastbound in the designated bike lane on Hartnell Avenue. The driver pulled in front of the cyclist, resulting in the collision.
The cyclist was transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment of injuries that appeared to be non-life-threatening.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
