Two people were killed following a head-on collision involving a motorcycle and a truck in Kings County on Friday evening, June 5, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. on State Route 43 just south of Lansing Avenue.
A rider and passenger on a 2017 Harley Davidson were traveling northbound when a 2014 Ram 1500, traveling southbound, attempted to pass a semi-truck in the northbound lane and collided head-on with the motorcycle.
Authorities reported that the driver of the Ram 1500 was pinned in the vehicle and sustained moderate injuries. The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was transported to a hospital, where they later died.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
