[04-28-2026] Kern County, CA – Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck by Pickup Truck on River Blvd. in Bakersfield

A pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck by a pickup truck on River Boulevard in Bakersfield on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just after 8:30 p.m. near Water Street. The pedestrian was struck at 8:32 p.m. and was conscious and breathing after the impact.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, but their current condition is unknown. 

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
