[03-25-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Electric Scooter Rider Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Hoover St.

A 33-year-old man riding an electric scooter was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, March 25, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division, the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Hoover Street and 75th Street when the scooter rider was struck by a vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and fled the scene. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded but declared the victim dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Police have not released a description or further details about the driver.

The investigation is ongoing.
