A head-on crash involving a Tesla and a Chevy Tahoe caused a temporary closure of US50 near Kyburz in El Dorado County on Saturday afternoon, March 7, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at around 4:43 p.m. near 34 Mile Stone Road.

Authorities reported that the Tesla and the Chevy Tahoe collided head-on along the highway. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where minor injuries were reported.
