[03-08-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Killed, Two Injured in Crash on Tampa Ave nin Porter Ranch.webpA 22-year-old man was killed, and two others were injured following a crash in Porter Ranch, Los Angeles County, on Sunday morning, March 8, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash was reported at about 10:05 a.m. on Tampa Avenue south of Tunney Street. 

Investigators said a gray 2015 Acura traveling southbound on Tampa Avenue lost control while speeding.

Police reported that the vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a traffic light, and then collided with nearby private property.

The 22-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.

The driver, identified as Ernesto R., 23, of Northridge, sustained severe injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Police said he remains under custody at the hospital and may face charges after his release. 

The second passenger was also injured and sustained moderate injuries.
