A hit-and-run collision involving four vehicles in Lemon Grove, San Diego County, left two juvenile passengers with major injuries on Sunday night, February 15, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:06 p.m. when a 33-year-old woman driving a 2006 Suzuki Aerio westbound on SR-94 stopped at the Massachusetts Avenue off-ramp to wait for a left-turn arrow.
The CHP said a 51-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet Blazer and a 53-year-old man in a Honda Pilot were also stopped ahead of the Suzuki. An unknown driver in a 2000 Lexus RX300, traveling westbound, crashed into the back of the Suzuki, causing it to hit the Chevrolet and Honda.
The driver of the Lexus fled the scene after the crash. The woman driving the Suzuki was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries, while her two juvenile passengers were transported to Rady’s Children’s Hospital with major injuries. The woman in the Chevrolet was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the Honda was unharmed.
The incident is under investigation, and the CHP is asking any witnesses with information to contact the El Cajon CHP at (619) 219-6900.
