[02-15-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Manchester Square

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Manchester Square neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Sunday night, February 15, 2026.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded at around 9:30 p.m. to South Western Avenue and West 82nd Street.

According to an LAPD spokesperson, the driver was traveling north on Western Avenue when they struck the victim, who was walking west on West 82nd Street. 

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim’s name, age, and gender were not immediately released.

Police said the driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The LAPD’s South Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
