[02-11-2026] Riverside County, CA – Motorist Seriously Injured in Two-Car Crash on Jackson St.webpA motorist was seriously injured in a two-car collision in Riverside on Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026.

According to the Riverside Fire Department, the crash was reported at around 11:45 a.m. in the 3800 block of Jackson Street, near Garfield Street, directly in front of Parkview Community Hospital. Battalion Chief Greg White said two sedans collided for reasons that remain under investigation.

Firefighters arrived to find one of the motorists trapped inside a vehicle with life-threatening injuries. An engine crew and a truck company responded to the scene, where firefighters used specialized extrication equipment to free the injured driver from the wreckage. The individual was transported for medical treatment.

The driver of the second vehicle was able to exit the car without assistance and sustained apparent minor injuries that did not require medical attention. Light rain was reported in the area at the time of the crash.

Riverside police maintained a partial closure of Jackson Street while conducting a preliminary investigation.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
