According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was first reported at around 1:05 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 215 just north of Scott Road.

CHP dispatch logs indicated that at least three vehicles were involved, including a silver sedan and a Chevrolet. 

Responding CHP officers and Murrieta Fire and Rescue personnel arrived to find vehicles positioned across the center divider and the right shoulder, with one vehicle facing the wrong direction.

Authorities reported debris scattered across multiple lanes, including the southbound side of the freeway. At approximately 1:15 a.m., officers requested a temporary stop of all northbound lanes to allow crews to clear debris and remove damaged vehicles. CHP logs listed the incident as a traffic collision with unknown injuries.

Multiple tow trucks were requested to the scene, including units from Brothers Towing, to assist with vehicle removal. The roadway was gradually cleared as crews completed their work.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the CHP.
