[01-04-2026] Two Killed, Three Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash at Sixth Street and Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach.webpTwo people were killed, and three others were injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Long Beach on Sunday night, January 4, 2026.

According to the Long Beach Fire Department, the crash was reported around 10:15 p.m. at Sixth Street and Atlantic Avenue.

Authorities said three vehicles were involved. The Long Beach Police Department stated that preliminary findings indicated a suspect vehicle traveling eastbound on Sixth Street collided with two vehicles traveling southbound on Atlantic Avenue. Police said the driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived.

A man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene. Three additional adult victims were transported by ambulance to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Police said one of the vehicles involved had overturned, though it was not the suspect vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
