[12-24-2025] Multi-Vehicle Rollover Crash Shuts Down Southbound I-15 Near Winchester RoadAll southbound lanes of Interstate 15 were temporarily shut down late Wednesday night following a rollover traffic collision involving multiple vehicles near the Winchester Road overcrossing in the French Valley area in Riverside County on November 19, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just before midnight near State Route 79. 

Preliminary reports indicated that a gray Honda CR-V hydroplaned, struck the center divider, and overturned. A blue Subaru Crosstrek was also found overturned on its roof in the center divider. Additional vehicles were stopped in the area, though CHP noted that one driver in a gray Honda reported not striking another vehicle.

Authorities stated that the overturned vehicles were no longer drivable. CHP requested traffic collision investigators and a tow rotation, while Riverside County Fire and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office also responded. By approximately 12:12 a.m., all southbound lanes were stopped as towing crews worked to clear the scene.

No information regarding injuries was immediately available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
