According to the Palm Springs Police Department, the collision occurred around 10:30 p.m., prompting a road closure alert for the area. 

Police confirmed Sunday morning that the incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. The injured person was transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities stated that DUI does not appear to be a factor.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
