A 56-year-old man suffered severe head trauma after a crash involving an electric bike and a car in San Luis Obispo on Tuesday afternoon, December 2, 2025.
According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, the collision occurred around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Broad and South streets.
Police said the e-bike rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the car remained on scene and cooperated with authorities. Officials stated that drugs and alcohol were not suspected.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
