[11-22-2025] Bicyclist Found Dead After Hit-and-Run Crash on Rainsville Road Near Stony Point Road in PetalumaA man was found dead following a hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist on Rainsville Road near Stony Point Road in Petaluma on Saturday morning, November 22, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol Santa Rosa office, officers responded around 9:30 a.m. after a bicyclist was discovered unresponsive at the location. 

Officials confirmed the man was deceased upon arrival. CHP said early indications suggested the crash likely occurred overnight or early Saturday morning and that the involved vehicle fled the scene. 

Authorities added that the suspect vehicle remains unknown. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
