A man was killed in a hit-and-run collision near Lassen Street and Canoga Avenue in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, on Wednesday morning, September 3, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded around 5:30 a.m. to reports of a dead body.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the man deceased at the scene. The victim was discovered lying in a driveway with multiple traumatic injuries.
Police stated that evidence and surveillance video indicate the man had been intentionally struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene. While the injuries were consistent with being hit by a vehicle, detectives noted the victim may have sustained additional injuries of undetermined cause. The victim’s name has been withheld pending notification of relatives.
Authorities continue to investigate the fatal hit-and-run collision.
