A motorcyclist was killed after being rear-ended at the intersection of Sellers Avenue and Chestnut Street in Brentwood on Saturday afternoon, July 26, 2025.
According to the Brentwood Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:08 p.m. when the motorcyclist, traveling northbound on Sellers Avenue, came to a stop at the intersection.
Moments later, his motorcycle was struck from behind by a vehicle also heading northbound. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the motorcyclist is suspected of driving under the influence and was arrested at the scene. Drugs are considered a possible contributing factor.
The investigation is ongoing.
