A woman in her 40s was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking outside a crosswalk near the Harbor (110) Freeway in Highland Park, close to South Pasadena, on Thursday night, November 7, 2024.
The accident occurred around 9:50 p.m. on the southbound side of the freeway near Marmion Way.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the driver was heading north on Marmion when she struck the pedestrian.
Officers from the LAPD’s Hollenbeck Division responded, and paramedics from the South Pasadena Fire Department later pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The investigation into the cause of the collision is being led by the LAPD’s Central Traffic Division.
