[10-15-2026] Kings County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash Near NAS Lemoore

One person was killed, and another sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision near NAS Lemoore in Kings County, on Thursday morning, October 15, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred before 6:30 a.m. on Highway 198 at Enterprise, just outside the air base.

CHP said a Camaro driver was leaving the base to turn onto the highway when a Kia Soul struck the vehicle. Officers said the Kia driver may have entered against a red light.

The Camaro driver died at the scene. The Kia driver was transported to a Fresno hospital in an unknown condition.

Authorities had not released information identifying the deceased driver or confirming any connection to the air base.

The investigation remains ongoing.
