Two drivers were killed after a two-vehicle head-on collision in Gilroy early Monday morning, October 28, 2024
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Highway 25 near Bloomfield Avenue.
Authorities stated that a 24-year-old man driving a 2018 Nissan Sentra southbound crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane, colliding with a 2012 Dodge Charger driven by 35-year-old Priscilla J., a Santa Clara County 911 communications dispatcher.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene and confirmed that both drivers suffered fatal injuries. Highway 25 was closed for five hours as CHP conducted their investigation into the crash. It is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision.
