The crash occurred around 9:00 p.m. at a sharp curve about 1-2 miles from the Interstate 15 freeway. Emergency personnel arrived to find two vehicles fully engulfed in flames and multiple individuals lying in the roadway.

Firefighters confirmed that five people were critically injured, leading to a request for five ground ambulances. Although a medical helicopter was initially requested, it was later canceled.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
