[09-25-2024] Woman Injured After T-Bone Hit-And-Run Collision in HesperiaA woman was injured in a T-bone hit-and-run collision in Hesperia on Wednesday morning, September 25, 2024.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 8:18 a.m. to the intersection of Main Street and Key Pointe Avenue.

The crash involved a black Nissan Rogue driven by the woman and a silver sedan that ran a red light, causing the SUV to go airborne and spin multiple times.

Fire personnel used extrication tools to remove the woman from her vehicle, and she was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the sedan briefly stopped at the scene before fleeing at a high rate of speed. A Good Samaritan followed the suspect vehicle and relayed information to 911 dispatch until it became unsafe to continue the pursuit.

Deputies later located the suspect vehicle—a silver Honda with front-end damage—near Sheffield Street and Rock Springs Road. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Antonio J. of Hesperia, was apprehended and arrested by deputies from the Hesperia Police Department.

Sheriff’s officials indicated that Jimenez was arrested, cited, and released. The investigation is ongoing, and the case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
