A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash in Fontana on Tuesday morning, September 24, 2024.
The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. on San Bernardino Avenue near Banana Avenue, where San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies found a man lying on his stomach on the sidewalk. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officer Rodrigo Jimenez, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol, reported that investigators currently lack a description of the vehicle that hit the man or its driver.
