A man riding a bicycle was fatally struck by a wrong-way driver after a hit-and-run collision in Florence-Graham, Los Angeles County, early Wednesday morning, August 28, 2024.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred around 1:04 a.m. near 7927 Alameda St., close to Broadway.
Responding officers found the victim lying in the roadway. Los Angeles County Fire personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead.
According to authorities, the driver drove onto the sidewalk before striking the victim and then fled the scene without rendering aid. The incident is being treated as a hit-and-run.
