[10-21-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Woman Killed After Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer in San Pedro

A 47-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision involving a tractor-trailer in San Pedro, Los Angeles County, early Wednesday morning, October 21, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred at around 1:30 a.m. at Channel and Gaffey streets.

Police said the tractor-trailer had stopped at a red light before making a left turn onto southbound Gaffey Street. During the turn, the truck’s right rear tires struck the woman.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced her dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.

The truck driver left without stopping to provide assistance, according to police.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver. The investigation is ongoing.
