[04-09-2024] Stanislaus County, CA – Four People Killed Following Multi-Vehicle Collision North of Modesto

Four people were killed following a multi-vehicle collision north of Modesto on Tuesday afternoon, April 9, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. on McHenry Avenue, north of Hogue Road.

A 19-year-old woman was reportedly traveling north in a Mitsubishi when her car swerved into oncoming traffic. The Mitsubishi driver struck a Toyota and two other vehicles.

The 19-year-old driver from Merced and her 22-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. 

A 60-year-old female driver of the Toyota and her one-year-old passenger were transported to hospitals, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

The authorities are determining if alcohol or drugs were involved in the fatal collision.
