[09-19-2023] Kings County, CA – Female Motorist Hospitalized Following Big Rig Trailer Collision on Grangeville Boulevard Bypass

A female motorist was hospitalized after crashing into a big rig trailer near Halls Corner, Kings County, on Tuesday morning, September 19, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the Grangeville Boulevard bypass a few miles west of Highway 41 at around 4:30 a.m.

Investigators stated that the woman was driving on the Grangeville Boulevard bypass when she hit the side of a trailer that detached from a truck. She was trapped in her vehicle, which was covered in tomatoes carried by the truck.

The victim was extricated and airlifted to a local hospital with unspecified injuries, although officers believe her injuries are minor.
