[08-26-2023] Riverside County, CA – DUI Two-Vehicle Collision Injures One Person in Moreno Valley

One person was injured after a two-vehicle collision caused by a DUI driver in Moreno Valley on Saturday evening, August 26, 2023.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the crash was reported around 8:32 p.m. on Iris Avenue.

Authorities stated that they found two severely destroyed cars at the scene. One person sustained major injuries and was treated at a local hospital. The victim’s current condition is unknown.

Officials said a suspected drunk driver was detained in the second vehicle. There has been no release of the identities of the people involved.

The police are still investigating the scene, so they cannot determine whether it was a head-on collision, as witnesses claimed.
