[09-04-2023] Woman Fatally Struck by COASTER Commuter Train in Bay Park NeighborhoodA woman was fatally struck by a COASTER commuter train in the Bay Park neighborhood of San Diego on Monday afternoon, September 04, 2023.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the fatal collision happened around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Morena Boulevard and Asher Street.

Authorities stated that the victim was given aid but succumbed to her injuries. The woman has yet to be identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office, pending the results of an autopsy conducted by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The authorities are currently investigating the fatal collision and a similar incident that happened on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
