[10-04-2024] 24-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed After Collision with SUV in Huntington BeachA 24-year-old motorcyclist from Rosemead was killed in a collision with an SUV in Huntington Beach on Friday evening, October 4, 2024.

Huntington Beach Police responded around 7:00 p.m. to Beach Boulevard and Taylor Drive, where they found the motorcyclist and his blue 2024 Yamaha R1 in the roadway. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities reported the motorcyclist was speeding southbound on Beach Boulevard in the No. 2 lane, just north of Taylor Drive, when he collided with a gray Mercedes GLS450 making a U-turn from the left turn lane.

The SUV driver, a 47-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police stated that intoxication was not a factor in the crash.
