[10-01-2024] Woman Killed After Motorcycle Vs. Vehicle Crash in Long BeachA woman lost her life after a motorcycle she was riding collided with a car in Long Beach on Tuesday night, October 1, 2024.

The fatal crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on East Ocean Boulevard and Kennebec Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle traveling eastbound on Ocean Boulevard drifted into the westbound lanes and struck a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. 

The motorcycle’s occupants were ejected onto the roadway. Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the male motorcyclist and the female motorcycle passenger to a local hospital, where the woman tragically succumbed to her injuries. The identity of the deceased woman has not been released.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. Long Beach police are continuing their investigation.
