[09-18-2026] Alameda County, CA – Several Vehicles Involved in Crash on Altamont Pass Road

Several vehicles were involved in a major damage crash that closed Altamont Pass Road in unincorporated Alameda County on Friday morning, September 18, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Dublin area office, both directions of Altamont Pass Road were closed between Greenville Road and Carroll Road starting at around 6:30 a.m.

CHP reported that the collision involved several vehicles, including a blue Tesla Model Y, a white Toyota Camry, and a semi-truck.

Reports indicated that the Tesla driver was trapped inside the vehicle but remained conscious. No information about injuries was immediately provided.
