[09-22-2023] Butte County, CA – 38-Year-Old Driver Arrested After Multiple Reckless Hit-and-Run Collisions in Chico

A 38-year-old driver was arrested after committing multiple reckless hit-and-run collisions in Chico late Friday morning, September 22, 2023.

According to the Chico Police Department, the collision happened around 11:00 a.m. in the downtown area of Chico.

The reckless driver, identified as Lorayna G., reportedly struck at least vehicles and almost struck nearby pedestrians as well as one officer who was deploying spike strips.

Another officer tried to stop the suspect’s vehicle by slamming his patrol car, while one officer sustained minor injuries. No civilians showed any visible injuries based on initial reports.
