[09-21-2023] Rider Seriously Injured Following Motorcycle Vs. Car Collision on Highway 99A motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a car on Highway 99, Stanislaus County, on Thursday morning, September 21, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the incident around 5:40 a.m. near the Hammett Road offramp on the highway’s northbound lane.

Initial investigation revealed that the 21-year-old Christopher L. was riding his 2007 Triumph motorcycle when he collided with the back of a 2010 Mercedes driven by 26-year-old Johnathan M.

The crash ejected Christopher L. from his bike and landed between the fast and middle lanes. He wore a helmet during the incident, but due to the severity of the crash, he still sustained a major head injury. He was immediately transported to Doctors Medical Center of Modesto.

Officers state that drugs and alcohol were not involved in this incident, and the cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

The CHP asks anyone with information regarding the crash to contact related authorities.
