[09-19-2023] Tuolumne County, CA – Traffic Backed Up Following Two-Vehicle Collision in Sonora

A two-vehicle collision backed up traffic in both directions in Sonora early Tuesday evening, September 19, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened on the Mono Way on-ramp in front of a Ford dealership.

An overturned Honda CRV SUV and a Dodge pickup truck were found at the scene, blocking the highway with debris.

There were no initial reports of visible injuries from the involved individuals, but an ambulance was called to the scene.

The highway was cleared about 40 minutes later, and vehicles were able to move around. Authorities have not released any further information about the collision.
