[09-11-2023] Madera County, CA – Unidentified Pedestrian Man Killed Following Vehicle Collision Near Maple Street

An unidentified pedestrian man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Madera on Monday evening, September 11, 2023.

According to the Madera Police Department, the incident occurred on Madera Avenue, north of Maple Street, around 8:15 p.m.

MDP officers reported that the man was crossing the street when he was struck. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The victim died as a result of the collision. It was not indicated if the pedestrian died at the scene or in a hospital.

Drugs or alcohol were not suspected to be a factor in the incident. No further information on the accident was released pending an investigation.
