[09-23-2026] El Dorado County, CA – 78-Year-Old Woman Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Building in Cameron Park

A 78-year-old woman suffered suspected minor injuries after a vehicle crashed into a building at a shopping center in Cameron Park, El Dorado County, on Wednesday afternoon, September 23, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. at the Burke Junction shopping center on Coach Lane.

CHP said a vehicle driven by a 90-year-old person crashed into the Studio A2 hair salon and struck the 78-year-old woman inside.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital with suspected minor injuries. The driver was not injured.

Cal Fire’s Amador-El Dorado Unit said Cameron Park Fire Department personnel helped evacuate the building and assessed the structure for potential hazards.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
