[09-07-2023] Santa Barbara County, CA – Farmworker Fatally Struck by Tractor in Guadalupe

A farmworker was fatally struck by a tractor in Guadalupe on Thursday afternoon, September 07, 2023.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the fatal collision happened around 1:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of West Main Street.

The victim was reportedly operating a tractor in the field when he was run over by it. He sustained major injuries and was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center, where he was later declared dead.

Cal-OSHA and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Bureau are currently investigating the fatal collision, while the victim’s identity has not been released.
