[09-11-2026] Kern County, CA – 46-Year-Old Woman Severely Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Bakersfield.webpA 46-year-old woman suffered severe injuries after being struck by a pickup truck in Bakersfield late Friday night, September 11, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded at around 11:40 p.m. to the area of 6465 Niles Street.

A preliminary investigation found that an unidentified pickup truck, described as an early- or late-1990s model, struck the woman. The driver then left the scene before officers arrived, according to the CHP.

A GoFundMe identified the woman as Silva S. and stated that she was working at her elote cart when the crash occurred.

The victim was transported to Kern Medical with severe injuries. As of Monday morning, the CHP reported no new updates regarding the driver.

Authorities continue to investigate the hit-and-run crash.
