[09-06-2023] Riverside County, CA – 2 People Killed, 2 Others Injured Following Big Rig Vs. SUV Collision in Winchester

Two people were killed, and two others were injured after a big rig vs. SUV collision in Winchester, Riverside County, on Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at the intersection of Domenigoni Parkway and Leon Road at around 11:40 a.m.

The Riverside County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a big rig and an SUV. When firefighters arrived, they discovered five people in need of medical assistance. They also found roughly 50 gallons of oil and diesel on the road.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were sent to a nearby hospital to treat minor injuries, while one person was assessed on-site but declined further treatment.

No information was released regarding the victims’ identities.  An investigation is underway to determine what caused the crash.
