[09-05-2023] Fresno County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Suffered Injuries After Two-Vehicle Crash Along Highway 168

One person was killed, and another suffered injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Fresno on Tuesday morning, September 5, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occured around 3:00 a.m. on eastbound Highway 168 near Ashlan Avenue.

Authorities stated that a 37-year-old woman driving a Nissan vehicle was taken to a local hospital, where she died. The second driver, a 23-year-old man driving a Dodge, was also transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the Nissan. Officials said both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles.

There have been no further statements regarding the cause of the crash. It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

The investigation into the collision is still ongoing at this time.
