[09-03-2023] Motorcyclist Killed After Hit-and-Run Collision With Vehicle in SylmarA motorcyclist was killed following a hit-and-run collision with a vehicle in Sylmar, Los Angeles County, on Sunday Night, September 3, 2023.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of the incident around 11:00 p.m. at Foothill Boulevard, north of Balboa Boulevard in Sylmar. Witnesses say the motorcycle was struck by a vehicle, which caused it to crash, sending the rider into a light pole.

Upon the arrival of the police and the Los Angeles Fire Department, the motorcyclist was found on the ground behind a guardrail near a light pole, allegedly struck by a vehicle that left the scene immediately.

Bystanders administered CPR and aided the rider before paramedics arrived, but was later declared dead on the scene by the emergency respondents.

It was unstated if witnesses provided a vehicle description to authorities. The rider’s identity was not disclosed to the public, and the investigation is ongoing.
