[09-03-2023] Contra Costa County, CA – At Least One Person Killed After Two-Vehicle Collision in Richmond

At least one person was killed after a fiery collision involving two vehicles in Richmond on early Sunday morning, September 3, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported on Interstate Highway 580 at Castro Street around 1:57 a.m.

Authorities stated that a collision between two cars resulted in a fire, which killed a single person. Injuries to other people were not reported.

There was no identification of the individuals involved. Crash investigators have yet to determine the cause of the collision.

Investigations are still being conducted.
