[09-03-2023] Alameda County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured Following Fiery Two-Vehicle Collision in Oakland

One person was killed and another injured following a fiery two-vehicle collision in Oakland early Sunday morning, September 3, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 2:00 a.m. along westbound Interstate 580 near the Castro Street onramp.

One of the vehicles reportedly caught on fire. Officials said that one person was killed while another one was extricated.

It is currently unclear how many people were involved and injured. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal collision.
