[09-11-2026] Tulare County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by SUV on Highway 99

A man died after being struck by a Lexus SUV while walking on Highway 99 in Tulare County on Friday night, September 11, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were called at around 8:30 p.m. on Highway 99, south of Avenue 384.

Investigators said the Lexus was traveling northbound on Highway 99 when the man walked into the traffic lanes and was struck by the right side of the vehicle. The pedestrian died from his injuries. Authorities did not release his identity.

CHP said the driver of the Lexus was not injured.

The investigation remains ongoing.
