[09-02-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Two Killed, Three Injured, Including Two Samaritans, After Two-Vehicle Crash on Ohio Avenue

Two people were killed, and three others were injured, including two samaritans, after a collision involving two vehicles in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, September 2, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred in the 1500 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard at Ohio Avenue around 5:58 p.m.

Authorities stated that two people were found stuck in separate cars when they arrived at a location next to Bad News Bears Field. One of them was a passenger, and the other was a driver. Upon being freed with hydraulic tools, they were taken to hospitals for treatment but eventually died.

After suffering severe injuries in one of the vehicles despite not being trapped, another patient was rushed to a local hospital. Officials said that due to rescue efforts before firefighters arrived, two good Samaritans sustained minor injuries and refused medical care.

The identities of the parties involved in the crash were not disclosed. There was a closure between Ohio Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue on Sepulveda Boulevard.

It is still unclear what caused the crash, but investigations are underway.
