One passenger was hospitalized following a solo vehicle rollover crash in San Diego on Saturday morning, August 26, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol and the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department responded to reports around 12:24 a.m. of a BMW SUV that crashed along the northbound I-805 transition ramp and westbound I-8 Freeway with one male driver and three female passengers.
Initial reports indicated that two out of the four occupants of the rolled-over vehicle were still trapped inside. Upon arrival, the emergency respondents found all occupants extricated.
One female passenger sustained minor injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Officials did not state whether the three remaining occupants of the car were injured.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and determining whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
