[07-19-2024] Four People Injured After Four-Vehicle Collision Along I-15 in TemeculaFour people were injured after a four-vehicle collision in Temecula on Friday afternoon, July 19, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 1:48 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15, near the entrance ramp from Rancho California Road.

The crash reportedly involved two SUVs and two sedans. Upon arriving at the scene, responders found one of the SUVs flipped on its roof. They then quickly triaged the victims.

The driver of the overturned SUV sustained severe injuries, which were described as life-threatening. Meanwhile, the occupants of the other three involved cars suffered minor to moderate injuries. It appears that the four vehicles only had their respective drivers inside at the time of the crash.

All four injured drivers were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Widomar for treatment. Their identities and current statuses were not available at the time of writing.

The official cause of the incident is still unclear. It is not immediately known if alcohol, drugs, or speeding played a role in the serious collision.

The CHP closed off the Rancho California Road on-ramp to southbound I-15 while they investigated and cleared the scene.
