[05-31-2024] One Person Injured After Pedestrian Vs. Vehicle Collision in TurlockOne person was injured after a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision in Turlock on Friday morning, May 31, 2024.

According to the Turlock Police Department, the incident occurred at about 9:58 a.m. at West Main Street and South Broadway Avenue.

When police arrived, they found the male pedestrian sitting on the curb at the side of the intersection, conscious but with injuries. AMR soon arrived at the scene and began treating him before transporting him to a local hospital. The injured man’s name, age, and origin were not immediately available.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the victim remained on the scene and cooperated with the police. It appears that the driver was not hurt in the incident.

Eastbound West Main Street was closed momentarily while the authorities investigated and cleared the scene. Other motorists were advised to avoid the area as much as possible.

TPD is still examining all the evidence on the scene to determine the cause of the incident.
