A male pedestrian was killed after being hit by two vehicles in San Diego on Tuesday night, April 2, 2024.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the fatal accident happened just before 9:00 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of 400 Sea World Drive.
SDPD said that the pedestrian was reportedly dancing in the roadway when he was hit by an eastbound Honda Fit driven by a 48-year-old woman. The impact of the initial crash threw him into the left lane of Sea World Drive, where he was struck by another car, a Toyota Camry driven by a 22-year-old man.
After that, a 35-year-old man driving a Dodge Grand Caravan allegedly rear-ended the Toyota.
Upon arrival, police found the pedestrian underneath one of the vehicles that struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There are no other injuries reported at this time.
It is still unclear why the pedestrian was dancing on the street to begin with. The circumstances behind the deadly crash are still under investigation, but SDPD confirmed that DUI was not a factor.
Potential witnesses are encouraged to contact the authorities. Further information was not immediately available.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation.
The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
